This reversible infinity scarf free knitting pattern uses the double-knitting technique. To learn more about this, please reference the tutorial here. The basic technique is knit one color and purl the other as you go along. You will alternate between the 2 colors. This creates stockinette stitch on each side. You will cast on the 2 different colors together (2 colors = 1 cast-on stitch).
For this pattern, I used Patons Silk Bamboo in 2 different colors.
Gauge: 4 in = 22 stitches
Needles: US Size 6 circular
- Cast on 126 stitches (each stitch here includes both colors – so there will be a total of 252 stitches on the needles)
- Work the pattern below, repeating until the end of the round. To change the colors – simply alternate which stitches you knit and those which you purl.
