I come from a long line of crafters. My mother was a professional seamstress and the hum of her sewing machine used to wake me up on Saturday mornings. My Grandmother is an avid weaver, spinner, and feisty lady! My Grandfather designed and created the spinning wheels and looms my grandmother used (and still uses to this day!).
It was only natural that I learn some of these skills – but the passion to make “stuff” seems to be something I was born with. I love to work with my hands – just creating anything. I started out with pottery lessons as a small child, which led to painting lessons, and on to teaching myself everything I could possibly learn learn. I now knit, sew, bead, paint, spin, weave, and dye. I am passionate about learning new craft skills all the time. I have learned how to make things by making mistakes. This blog will show you my attempts, mistakes, and successes.
